潭美颱風來勢洶洶，中央災害應變中心今天中午一級開設，內政部長李鴻源和行政院副院長毛治國晚上9點半坐鎮中央應變中心，主持第二次工作會報。至晚間8點統計，尚未傳出災情，但山區預估累積雨量都破千，宜蘭、台北、花蓮和基隆地區都需嚴防豪大雨。

應變中心發布超豪大雨的縣市為宜蘭縣、台北市、新北市、桃園縣、新竹縣、苗栗縣、台中市、南投縣、雲林縣、嘉義縣、台南市、高雄市、屏東縣。
