「盜版」的存在，竟然會幫電影賺更多錢？

你知道，「盜版」的存在，其實會幫助電影業賺更多錢嗎？

蛤？你說什麼！？

一直以來，我們總是認為數位盜版會降低電影業收入，而確實也有許多研究結果這樣顯示。然而根據哥本哈根商學院與慕尼黑管理學院一份新的研究報告指出，數位盜版對中小型電影而言，反而是增加票房收入的其中一種方法。

研究者根據boxofficemojo.com的資料，研究去年一月 Megaupload 網站關閉前後的電影營收。Megaupload過去是網路上最大的檔案分享網站，也是所謂的「盜版天堂」。從該網站推出Megavideo這項熱門的影片分享服務起，到2012年10月該網站關閉十個月後為止，研究小組研究這段時間內所有發行影片的收入資料，並發現，高成本的影片在這次的盜版衰微中大幅獲利，然而中小型影片卻出現了獲利減少的狀況。換言之，盜版有利於中小電影的票房收入！

研究者對這個現象提出了簡單明瞭的解釋：「數位盜版其實扮演著一個重要機制，就是讓付費意願低的消費者（換言之就是盜版者）將影片的好，告訴付費意願高的消費者。」
