（軍聞社記者林宜慶臺北六日電）國防部今日表示，為感念在臺服役期間亡故官兵為國犧牲奉獻、盡忠職守之精神，並考量民俗風情及彰顯國軍照顧關懷遺族之德意，於民國一０二年八、九月份，分別於北、中、南、東地區，辦理「追悼國軍歷年服役期間亡故官兵祭祀典禮」。

　國防部指出，祭祀典禮秉「莊嚴、隆重、簡樸」之原則，業於八月九、十三、十五、廿六日及九月六日，分別於桃園巨蛋體育館、台中中台禪寺、高雄佛光山、花蓮港天宮及台北法鼓山舉行，普獲宗教團體及遺族認同，並表達支持與肯定之意。

　國防部進一步表示，祭祀典禮邀請歷年意外亡故人員遺族家屬代表、地方首長、民意代表及宗教團體共同參與追思；嚴部長親自出席第1、5場次典禮，餘3場次分別由陸軍常務次長趙中將、前空軍常務次長廖中將（現任上將副總長執行官）親率官兵代表參加，藉宗教儀式，表達國軍追思同袍，以及撫慰遺族心靈。
