日本動畫大師宮崎駿宣布退休，還說「霍爾的移動城堡」是他最難忘作品；當時替「霍爾」配音的木村拓哉，昨天透過經紀公司向大師致意，「謝謝您創造了這麼多的夢幻世界」！

木村拓哉以前就說過，他家裡電視90%的時間是在放宮崎駿和吉卜力作品，意指他只讓2個女兒看這種有益身心的動畫。大師退休，他一方面不捨，一方面很慶幸曾參與過配音，未留遺憾，「直到現在，每回在森林吹到風，就會覺得好像龍貓就在身邊」。

在「霍爾的移動城堡」和「神隱少女」配音的大泉洋，則「央求」大師至少能持續出產短片，讓大家還能繼續有夢。男星西島秀俊這次替「風起」裡堀越二郎的同事本庄配音，他也在自己的新片首映上大呼可惜。而連模特兒佐佐木希都在寫真集發表會上，表示很捨不得大師退休，因為她小時候就超愛「龍貓」。
